Alfamar Beach & Sports Resort is an established warm weather training venue located 13km from the popular town of Albufeira and 35km west of Faro airport.
The resort has a 4 lane track with a 6 lane straight. There are jump runways and sand pits for long jump and triple jump and other jumping and throwing facilities are available with the exception of hammer and javelin. The gym facility at Alfamar is equipped with Olympic free weights.
The beach at the resort is 4km long and there are some off road trails in the area. The resort caters for other sports enthusiasts and football pitches and tennis courts are among the other facilities available.
**** The Alfamar Beach & Sport Resort - Praia da Falesia
Set directly on the sandy beach of Praia da Falesia, surrounded by pine trees. The complex includes a seven storey main building and a sport centre.
The rooms have a private bathroom, satellite TV with radio, direct dial telephone, hairdryer, safety deposit box (local charge), air-conditioning, heating and a furnished balcony.
